CHAMBON

The chambon helps the horse develop the muscles of the back and upper neck. It applies pressure to the poll and mouth when the horse lifts his head, and releases pressure when the horse lengthens and lowers his head toward the ground. When the horse is properly roped, with the chambon properly adjusted, the horse will stretch down and lift his back.
